As I scudoodle through life...Some bad times, some blah times and some very good times...I have noticed that society is getting mean.

Now do I have a wicked tongue and have I've been known to be a bully in real or online?...Maybe but you also have to annoy me to do it...However the meaness I see is coming from desperation as people can't find the love they wanted...Become abusive because of it or have recently had a huge change in their lifestyle and they can't handle it.

You know the whole..."I love you and want to be with you...What you don't want to be with me?...Then you're a fat whore/asshole!"

Serious?  Didn't you just supposedly love and want that man/woman?...But things of the heart are difficult because emotions are a mean master...You know the whole "I've seen a strong man cry...I've seen an honest man lie..."

So won't nor can I try to figure that out...Ever see a man or a woman who has it all lose it when they get left/dumped or a relationship doesn't go how they wanted?

(I have and that shit is amazingly morbidly fun to watch sometimes...Hell it's even happened to me once or twice...How does it go?..Oh yeah "I have everything but the girl")

So I'm a regular on a couple of other blogs and as we're discussing some issue, some people will lose it and rant...Losing it in an almost comedic 2 year old tantrum way.

Ah sweet sweet cyberspace the last bastion of the insane!

As we have seen here from time to time but what I've noticed is the snottiness and sharkiness of people as of late...On an almost hypocritical biblical way...Comments like "I hope you die" or "I hope your kids get..."

It's sad that when people lose an arguement or are trying to make an arguement they go to that if they figure they're going to lose...I call it "Losing it before losing."

I'm inclined to agree with you to a certain extent.  I think society as a whole is getting meaner, but when you break it down to individual regions, some aren't as bad as others.  In places like New york City where the population is condensed, the city never sleeps, and stress is the motiff of the day, people generrally tend to be meaner.  It's something they grow up learning based ont he behavior of everyone around them.
For example, I was on a college field trip in New york and we stopped to ask for directions at a gas station.  The guy standing behind us was very impatient and made a very crude comment.  It wasn't necessary, and it had nothing to do with us being from out of town, just that we were impeding his day.  It's not our fault.
I come from the south where life is a little more laid back.  People fish.  People relax on a beach.  You can see the sky, there is nature.  I think that counts for a lot.  It's more spread out and you can find your solitude if you need it.  Granted our highways are ridiculous and filled with random acts of road rage, but overall, Florida's pretty mellow.
I think a lot of it has to do with the decline in the education system.  As the cost of living has gotten higher, more people have had to go to work to make ends meet, leaving their children at home unattended.  So without parental supervision the kids get away with a lot more.  Those kids grow up learning that behavior and pass it on to their own kids.  The cycle begins again and gets a little bit worse.  There are a lot of factors involved, but in my opinion, it seems like I see it every day.
So as people are less educated, as they pass that behavior on, kids learn it's okay to be mean.
